Gingerbread 2.3.6, build GINGERBREAD UBLL1 (Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 GTI8160L if that makes any difference).
I'm probably having some kind of dummy problem with finding a setting but am finally at a loss. When inserting a photo into an email or MMS using the Gingerbread OEM email and messaging programs, a 640 x 480, which I set as the resolution in the camera, and a smaller size are sent. Two sizes of the same photo. I'd like to just send one 640 x 480. Can anyone get me going in the right direction?

Edit. In case it helps anyone doing a search, it appears the email app in my phone does not play well with some email programs. I had been inserting the photo into the body of the email. If I attach the photo rather than insert it, although it leaves the phone looking like an attachment, the email programs that had been displaying doubles of the inserted photo display the attached photo as a single photo inserted into the body of the email.
