Help Wi-Fi calling causing problems on a Galaxy S8

For some reason when Wi-Fi calling is enabled, my Samsung Galaxy S8 will suddenly think that I'm on a phone call when I'm not. This is particularly annoying because it causes notification sounds to be muted. Restarting the phone only corrects the problem temporarily.

I tried disabling some apps to see if it would correct the problem, but only turning off Wi-Fi calling seems to fix it. My phone hasn't yet been updated to Oreo.
