Wi-Fi connectivity notification on notification panel

I may be in a very small minority but I actually WANT TO SEE the Wi-Fi connectivity status pop up on our Samsung Galaxy Tab A with S-Pen's notification panel (drop-down shade). We see nothing happen on the panel to that effect but only see tiny little letters at the bottom-center of the home page when a wifi network is connected to.

I've read several postings for those who want to see the feature turned OFF. The majority of the solutions say to turn off: Settings/Connections/Wi-Fi/menu/Advanced/Wi-Fi notifications to make that happen. This works perfectly on our Samsung Galaxy J7v (Verizon) to turn it on and off. Our Galaxy Tab A doesn't even have "Wi-Fi notifications" under the Advanced menu. The closest thing on the tab is: "Network notification" which is described as: "Receive notifications when open networks in range are detected". Switching this on or off does not get the connected network to be displayed on the tab's notification panel. The wording under "Wi-Fi notifications" on the phone are: "Notify me when Wi-Fi is available or connected".

I know someone's gonna ask what the OSs are. The versions are the same on both the tab and the phone: 7.0 Nougat.

Anyone know how to turn this thing ON???

I have a feeling in my water that it's something that only Samsung phones do, but not their Galaxy Tab tablets. Also I've only seen Samsung phones showing notifications about open WiFi being available, and not any other makes of phones, well non that I've had anyway. Someone else may know for sure about Galaxy Tab tablets.
