Hi
Can I print from my Android phone to an EPSON Expression Home XP-435 All-in-One Wireless Inkjet Printer
at home without a router or wifi network?

TIA

Epson should have an app for printing on Play. I'd check it out.

I can print to an offline Samsung.
You do need to allow the printer access to the phone and vice versa. They should see each other. Don't panic if it's slow. I'll get a message that Samsung preview isn't working, do I want to report it, then I just wait another minute and the preview pops up.

I've never been able to get NFC to work, though.

Some can never get any wifi to work. Canon and some of its SX cameras have more complaints about the built in wifi.

Generally that would be no, you cannot, without a router your printer needs to have at least a connection to a computer (most likely via USB). Also at some point there has to be some kind of connectivity between your phone and your printer. the most common way is the link between all devices in a common LAN. But you could use something like Google's Cloud Print service if you have your Epson printer connected to a computer with online access. You'll be using your phone's cellular (mobile data) to link to Google's online Cloud Print which then connects to your Epson through your computer.

There are many apps that do the job. I have also EPSON and I use "Epson iPrint". Of course my printer has wi fi and is connected via wi fi direct to the phone.
