WidgetLocker question

Am I supposed to be able to unlock my Incredible using WidgetLocker simply by pressing the Home button? Mine unlocks without needing to swipe when I press home. It kind of defeats the purpose if I can unlock it while it is in my pocket.

There is an option to allow home button to unlock the phone and it defaults to this mode when you choose not to use a slider.

I do not use one of the built in sliders and use a custom slider and discovered the home unlock by accident.

I see the option for the Home button but it is greyed out and not checked. I use the standard slider. Why can I still unlock with Home?

I sent this question to the developer. I wish there were support forums for these kind of products.

Well, I got a very fast response from the developer. Very impressed!
In order to receive home events, WidgetLocker needs to be configured
as Android's default home. This will not replace Sense UI or any other
Launcher you have installed, it just gives WidgetLocker the ability to
block the home button.
To set this up you can go to Settings > Tutorial and proceed to Page
3, which explains why this is needed, and when you hit Continue after
that it will prompt you for if you want to do this or not. Hit yes and
it will set this up for you.

Alternatively, you can go to Settings > Clear Default Home, then hit
your home button and you will be prompted for what program to use.
Check the "make default" checkbox and select WLocker Helper.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any further questions,

He's been great with some of the questions I've emailed him about. Very nice to have such great access/support from the developer.

I don't have it set to have home unlock, because on the Droid X, home wakes the phone. So I hit home, then back and I have my phone wake and unlock. I find that much easier than swiping and with the physical buttons it's not easy to unlock on accident.
