WidgetLocker security issue

Lurker
I downloaded a app called Widget Locker. Its very nice app with lots of features. But any time I try to launch a application from the WL's lock screen, original lock screen pops up asking for pin. I do want to have a secure phone. If I go into setting and disable the stock lock screen, then widgetlocker doesn't ask for any pin. Is there any way to put security pin in the wedgetlocker app to lock the phone instead of dealing with two lock screens? If I want a unsecured phone, what's the point of Widgetlocker. I can just go to my home screen and launch application without entering a pin. Any help on this issue will be great. Thank you.

The widgetlocker isnt really much for security rather for design. Its like the stock sense and touchwiz lockscreens, which can be easily opened. If you put shortcuts everywhere, its a bit against the purpose of putting a shortcut on the lockscreen when you still have it locked.

Chanchan is spot on. WidgetLocker's main purpose is design, customization and widget functionality.

If you want a pin capability in WidgetLocker, I would suggest that you contact the dev about your idea.

Security is largely moot with WidgetLocker. Even if you have a pin, and the default lockscreen, enabled, anyone can easily sidestep it if you have a widget that opens to an app. Like Pandora. I tapped on pandora's widget from the lockscreen with a visual pattern lock enabled. It opened Pandora's main app. I then hit the home key and I was at my home screen without having to enter my pattern.

If security is a concern, do not use WidgetLocker. Or get an app like Seal. Although, Seal isn't 100%, either (it can be force closed and the Android OS task killer will kill it after a while if it needs more RAM).
