Widgets don't update

I have a calendar widget and Days Until widget and I've noticed that they don't update automatically. They'll only update if I touch to open and then close.
Other complaints are scattered about online but no resolutions yet.

Are you referring to the stock calender widget?
Please supply names of apps or widgets so we can try to help better.

No, not the stock one. I use CalWidget and DaysUntil.

Do you have calwidget on the phones storage or on the sd card?

And which days until?
There's two different ones by two different deveplopers.

I too have that issue with a few widgets.
1 was a clock, another is a calender date widget (not a calender) and I do not remimber the third.
I thought I read somewhere that it's a Lollipop 5.1.1 flaw ???? (not sure).
I will be following this thread.
