Some widgets only come with certain devices. But they do come onto the open market sometimes if someone roots the device and pulls the APK file. Find the name of the widget and do a search for it.
But generally most widgets should work on all android devices, to a point.
Good call blaxican. The widget should be easy enough to find, you could also look in the apps section on her phone, then all running and look for the name of the widget and then search the google web for a download.
Thanks guys. I have a rom downloading atm, but a google search yielded a bewildering array of notes apps! I tried a couple of them, but they wouldn't load up.
I think I might have to learn coding so I can write some widgets!
