Of all the WiFi apps I have tried so far, this is the one that I use the most.

The multi-view UI is particularly well done - offering a number of different way of presenting local WiFi useage - which often can be compex and difficult to understand.

I also like the large analgue meter style signl strength meter which allows the user to wander around mapping signal strength in different locations. This view also has an audio 'signal strength to frequency' beeping function which allows the user to monitor received signal levels without having to physically look at the meter at all times.

The ads that support this FREE app are not to intrusive and can be switched off through the user settings.

I have to agree that this app is very well done. Even for people who would only use it to setup their own Wifi equipment, it's something they can use periodically to make sure that their setup is still optimal, considering that their neighbors may have added or modified their own Wifi setup.

In the 5 moths I've had it I have used it for basic Wifi site surveys as well as installing Wifi hotspot equipment in retail locations. Often these scripted installs don't take into account the environment in which they'll be installed, and require a specific channel to be used. With Wifi Analyzer I can see if there is a better choice for the channel, and advise the engineer while I'm on site. Of course, the follow-up that I mentioned above never happens for these installs, so it's possible that performance degrades over time as the neighboring Wifi setups change.

I consider this a MUST HAVE app for anyone who deals with Wifi networks, even if the only network is their own.
