Wifi and the network harddrive

I was able to get my wife's android to to connect to the home wifi, but I do not know how to access the network harddrive via the phone. I am able to use my desktop to access the network harddrive. If someone can point me in the right directions, PLEASE!

ES File Explorer (from the market) will browse network storage.

I couldn't find a way for the wifi connection to share the full network resources ie drives and printers. Just the internet connection.

I've used AndFTP on the phone and ServU on the computer to make connections for downloading/uploading from the computer. It's kind of annoying to set up and start up eat time but it works fine if it's something you're only going to be using now and then.

Edit*

Hmm, I'll have to try that. Thanks!

IIRC, (and please correct me if I'm wrong) but don't you have to connect to your home LAN and not just your router to detect network drives and devices?

IIRC if I recall correctly.

I think ES or Astro should both be able to do this (I use ES), though I haven't ever tried this myself. :P
