Help WIFI Direct

My wife and I each have an S3 and we can connect by wifi direct. I also have a Dell Desktop which has wifi direct (Intel card 6230) which has wifi direct.

Our S3s can see the desktop PC but they will not connect. When I tap to connect it searches for a long time and then eventually gives me a message that connection failed.

Anyone have ideas on the problem?

Check discovery in network sharing centre on the pc. Also any passwords for shared folders.

If you can get the pc to appear on the connection list your half way there.

The PC and S3 each show the other device so discovery is not the problem. The connection just fails it never asks for a password (when the 2 S3s connect there is not request for a password just a popup asking if I want to accept).

Get allshare from the samsung site. For the pc.

And the S3's need allshare control and allshare play. That might help with media files.

I do not understand. I have allshare nstalled on the S3s. Are you saying that WIFI Direct will not work with my PC unless I also have allshare installed on my PC?

Thanks, but I really would prefer to figure out wifi direct. I don't have an immediate need to be able to use it but I want the capability.
