Wifi disconnecting from network with no internet access

I work in the IT field in a company that takes network security seriously. I am trying to connect to an internal intranet wireless network that has no internet access, but has access to the rest of the internal network which is what I want access to. The problem is that about 10 seconds after I connect to this very strong network and get an IP address, it automatically disconnects and kicks over to 4G or our guest wireless that does have internet access. I do have auto network switch disabled and keep wifi on during sleep enabled. Question is, is this disconnecting due to no internet access on that network and is it possible to force it to stay connected?

Welcome to AndroidForums.com jsleesman. I moved this up to the Android Lounge to get more eyes on it as it isn't really specific to the Note.

Welcome to the cool kids club, jsleesman :)

I wonder what would happen if you disabled/forgot the Guest wifi network (so that the phone would never try to automatically connect to it). Would you still disconnect from the Intranet WLAN? Give a try and let us know how it goes :D
