WIFI DROPS OUT

Hello All, I have recently purchased a Galaxy S7 Edge, it is of course superb but I have one problem the WIFI in my house (which is very strong) keeps dropping out on my phone, I get a message saying "waiting for WIFI quality to improve" but it won't come back on unless I switch the WIFI off and on again. My previous cheap China phone did not do this and no other phones do it any ideas ?

Hi,

If this was my situation I would first try forgetting the Wifi Network in the phones settings.

Then if no joy try changing wifi wireless channel in the router.

And test out wifi connection at outlets like coffee bars etc.

Hello & Thanks, I will try a few things and see what happens, it concerns me that any old phone will work fine, I am using a top of the range Asus router with tomato software

Hi back and you're welcome.

In my experience different phones hold onto signal both network related and wifi at different levels.

Some will hang onto signal for all its worth and some will drop.

It's a huge issue on Marshmallow

Try these possible solutions:

Disable ipv6 on your router
Reset network connections on your phone
Reboot your router
Clear cache partition on your phone
LAST RESORT: factory reset your phone

Good luck and hope this helps.
