Hey guys, I just used my Android phone to login to Skype on a friend's WiFi connection. Is it possible for my friend to see my Skype username and password or see that I tried to use Skype?

He can't see your username or password, but he can see an unusual connection, type of device and a device identifier number. It's not nice to access someone's wifi without permission.
True. However, it's even worse to have an unprotected wifi network that anyone, including bad guys, can access.
So perhaps the OP has done his friend a favor by letting him know that anyone can use his wifi without a password.
