wifi hotspot

Hi I've got a problem with my htc desire s when I turn WiFi hotspot on so I can use my laptop of the phones internet it allows my laptop to connect but says no internet access even when the internet on phone is on any advice pls

The hotspot feature by Verizon is a feature that you must subscribe to. The software is on the phone but you must add it to your current plan. If you have added this to your calling/text plan and it's not working, I would suggest checking in with the Desire S area which is here: HTC Desire S - Android Forums

Ok I think I get it I used to be able to do it and have never registered so how do I subscribe I'm on tmobile if it makes any difference

I don't know exactly how it's handled by T-Mobile. You will need to contact them and see about adding the feature to your present plan.
