Wifi Indicator Orange

I have a strange issue that started when I got a new modem/router at home. Everything was working great before with my phone and it works fine on other wi-fi networks. The problem is that after I connect at home, the wi-fi icons turn orange.
1) What does orange wifi icons mean?
2) Sometimes when they turn orange it backs up my email and other services. Normal internet seems to work fine.

Are there settings on my phone and or/modem that I need to set to get past this? The modem is a newer modem (Netgear C6300) and was not cheap.

What OS version are you on?

It's been awhile, but I was under the impression that orange indicated a connectivity issue. That said, if you're able to use the phone for everything you want to use it for then it may not be worth worrying about.

Sorry I can't be more helpful; I upgraded over a year ago.
