wifi keep dissconneting

My wifi keep dissconneting when I turn my android phone off for 5 min. I want to keep my wifi on for 24/7. I have download wifi alive and wifi lock and dont work and I try going in to setting-wifi-advanced wifi-keep wifi on during sleep on still dont work.

What phone do you have? Sometimes there are power saving features that you need to turn off on the router also.

i have a htc amaze 4g

not sure what android version you have. I had same problem on samsung galaxy s3.
my android version is 4.0.4 / ICS
dial *#0011# then press menu button to bring up servicemode and touch on wifi and turn off power saving in wifi section.
