WiFi Network Browser

stainless

Newbie
I hope some one can help.
I have searched and searched but have not found a simple File explorer that will browse through a WiFi Network so I can pull and place files FROM my Droid.
I have found ones that I can get to my phone from my PC but I want to go the other way.
I had a nice one for my Pocket PC phone but can not find one for the android.

Try EStrongs File Explorer.

Web Sharing does this. The name is a bit misleading, it allows moving files by Wi Fi or internet. Simple and fast.

I use Web Sharing as well. Great app. If your Droid is connected to a wireless router in your home it is even faster. I moved a lot of files onto my Droid from my home PC using Web Sharing. Saves you the trouble of having to hook up USB cable and mount. I sit in my living room with a wireless keyboard on my couch. Plugging up my phone via the USB cable would put the phone out of reach.

If you have bluetooth, Bluetooth File Transfer is a must have..

You can move files between your computer and phone quite easily, a feature that should be standard on the phone in the first place if you ask me.

Got it to connect at home, but can not get it at work :(

There is a long-standing bug in Estrongs where if the password has a non-alphanumeric character (like $&%?) it won't connect to a remote system. Something about those characters prevents the username and password from being transmitted. Estrongs knows about the bug, but they haven't fixed it yet.
