Help wifi off

Working with a new yesterday LG Optimus Exceed 2 and it keeps shutting off the WiFi

If it would really shut it off it wouldn't be an issue. However when I bring up the screen it says u t is still connected shows in and out traffic with the arrows but nothing. I know. It didn't run out of reach because I am sitting next to the router. Only way to make it work is in settings turn out off and back on. The old sch 100 still works without a hitch however software to old so bad apps or I would still use. Please when you update software make it sho out don't go of f I can even be playing a game try to access internet after and it's off. It is also doing it to my Pantech after the last software update. Before worked great. using droid 4.0.4 and the LG uses 4.4.2

Have you tried manually assigning it an IP either via your router or the handset itself?

I've never used an Exceed, but I've found that can help WiFi issues like this with other devices I've owned.

Thank you for the reply. Sadly it won't work for me. So here is another thing that this phone is lacking! The ability to use my router that has a hidden SSID so looking for an app I found one that not only keeps me connected but let's me connect to my hidden SSID. Best yet it's an app by AVG. Love it works great.
