Wifi on Motorola Zmax 10

Stauer

Lurker
I have a Motorola Zmax 10 Model Z6250CC Andriod 10 and was hoping someone could help me figure out if it is Wifi 802.11ac compatible. I have looked on the phone, looked in the on-line manual, chatted with customer service, and googled it with no luck finding the answer. I would appreciate any guidance that someone could give me. Have a good day.

Your ZMax 10 (Z6250CC) is manufactured by ZTE, not Motorola, and it's a carrier-locked model from Consumer Cellular.

But regarding WiFi connectivity, it's apparently only supporting dual band 802.11 b/g/n.

Just offhand that's not optimal but it's still more of a 1st-world entitlement matter. As a hypothetical, if the broadband connection feeding your router is 1000Mbps. an 802.11n WiFi connection is still quite adequate.
2.4GHz band 802.11n -- theoretical speed 300Mbps, practical speed 200Mbps
5GHz band 802.11n -- theoretical speed 900Mbps, practical speed 600Mbps
versus
5GHz band 802.11ac -- theoretical speed 1.5Gbps, practical speed 1Gbps
If you're doing things that always require maximum bandwidth speed on a dated phone, it's time to upgrade to a new, more capable model.
