Wifi password's shared on all devices?

Shocky

Android Expert
Only just noticed this but once I sign in a device over my network it knows all my wifi passwords, I'm sure I never entered them.

I'm I going crazy or is google syncing wifi passwords>

You can turn the syncing off via Settings -> Backup & Reset....
... and Google says that doing this will even delete these back up data on Google server :)

Some explaining :)
I've read this on the web site of the German computer journal c't.
c't asked Google about these back data and why these data aren't encrypted on the server.
Google answered that the users could choose and if they uncheck the back up option on their device the back up data would be deleted on the Google server.
