Hi,

After updating to JB this morning i have had problems with the WiFi connecting. It just constantly tries to connect to 1 of the networks i use but won't connect. Turned WiFi off now as it was taking it's toll on my battery.

I contacted Vodafone > Samsung and all i was told was do a factory reset

Before i do that i thought i would ask here to see if anyone had an answer for this.

Thx:smokingsomb:

UPDATE :-

Hi again,

OK so i thought i would reroot my phone (with siyah kernal) then do a recovery to before the JB update and take it from there, reinstall JB and hope that fixed the problem.

Well, after i rerooted the phone the Wifi picked up again right away like it used to. Woohoo. Tried restarting the phone a few times just to check and every time it has picked up the network within seconds :D

Why? I couldn't tell you, but rerooting seems to have worked :D

Fingers crossed that will fix the problem. So so glad i never done a factory reset like Samsung advised.

Peace

Hi,

Yeah i have tried to forget the network a few times but it still keeps saying connecting when i try and connect to it after i enter the password.

I have noticed it sometimes says scanning and then saved / secured but then reverts straight back to connecting.

I have a similar problem as well, it happens with some networks I happen to connect now and then, it keeps reporting "Connecting" and then it says "Network disabled due to poor connection". It connects fine with the router I have at home.

Hi,

That is my home network, the 2 computers running off it are fine so i don't think it's a signal problem. Thx for the input though ;)
