Help WiFi tether keeps going out every few minutes

i'm rooted, and using WiFi Tether- TrevE Mod. I can get the thing to start no prob, but it seems to shut off after 5 to 10 minutes. once, ONCE, I was able to get it to stay on for like an hour. but I don't know what I did differently. What's the deal? Thanks in advance, guys.

Is your connection manager active? That needs to be disabled otherwise it turns on your wifi every so often to try and improve your network

I go to turn it off, but then when I go back in to it later, it's checked again.

You're rooted? Just use a root explorer to delete ConnectionManager.apk from system/app. Or if you think you might want to use the app again in the future simply rename it by adding a ".b" at the end so it looks like this - "ConnectionManager.apk.b"
