Hello, does anyone know if there is a way to send and or receive text messages using Wifi?

There are Market apps which enable texting via wifi.

TextPlus is one, but keep in mind it does not use your number, this is why it is not seen/billed by the carrier as texting.

You can text over the data connection using google voice, and your own number.
