Wifi Texting and Calling

I've been going to an area with a weak MetroPCS signal. Not sure if my settings are off or limitations on the service.

No signal, wifi calling works in public wifi areas like McDonald's

No signal, private home wifi text or wifi calling do not work.

So when I have no signal is it only public wifi that will allow calling natively.

When I have a strong signal and wifi, Wifi data texting works along with wifi calling.

So just making sure my phone is up to par on all the settings. I would love to be able to use wifi calling and texting on a private wifi with low call signal.

Wifi text works on my home wifi. Might want to lower your home routers security settings.

It's like my get away at my buddies house in the mountains so not my personal wifi. I can't remember the last message it said when trying to call from the private wifi. It says like check wifi preferences or something which is always on to wifi preferred.

Have you actually tested wifi calling in an area with no cellular service? That's my issue.

Yes I have tested it, but putting the phone in airplane mode, then turning on wifi.

Maybe register the e911 address in the my metro app. But it would say "error e911 not registered" on most recent phones.

Thank You, that was the issue. I know back in September I registered the E911 Wifi calling address but when I went into the Metro App is was all blank. Just tried it on airplane mode and all is well now wifi calling works with no signal. This would have been so convenient to know before now, lol.
