hey all, brand new to tasker and got a couple of profiles set up however struggling with this. i would like to set up wifi to turn off at 8pm at weekdays and back on at 5.30 on weekdays only.

any help would be massively appreciated

1. Click the Profiles tab, then the + to create a new profile. Select time: from 05:30 to 20:00 without repeat checked.

2. Add to it an entry task: hit New Task, hit + then Net and select WiFi on.

3. Now long press your Time condition and select Add, then Day, then Week Days and select Monday through Friday.

4. Now long press the WiFi on task and select Add Exit Task, New Task, and Net, WiFi off.

That's it really...

Let me know if it works.

Glad I could help!

So perhaps you could help me.
I recently download this profile from http://tasker.dinglisch.net/ but for some unknown reason I unable to get this profile working. By any chance could you guide in the right direction.

I'm currently using a Galaxy S3 ver. 4.4.2 not rooted.

I would love to help, but I don't speak French. And I don't see a profile, just two tasks...

Can you elaborate on what you're trying to achieve here?

Good morning my and thank you for replying.

My apology I forgot to set my profile in english for you.
What I'm trying to do is setting up my home WiFi so whenever I come home Tasked recognize my cell towers and atomically connect to my home WiFi.

So what I did was using an already setup profile which I've download from Tasker wiki page.
At first everything was working OK then the past couples of days the profile refuse to automatically connect to my home WiFi.
I've include some screen cap for you. You'll notice that the WiFi starter profile highlighted in green in Tasked but no WiFi connect. Yet all my other profile execute with no problem?

When I look inside the Task I see some red marker but can't figure what they mean?
If you could be kind and guide me in the right direction would be appreciate☺

The red line on the right indicates the condition is false. For example your WiFi AP search task, the first item, "if %Mystart is not set". This condition is false, so the variable is set.

I think you can simplify drastically the things you want to achieve. If you only want to turn on wifi when you return home, this simple approach should do the job.

1. Make a "cell near" profile, no need to add a "wifi off" condition, because that would immediately deactivate the profile once wifi is on.

2. Have it execute a "turn wifi on" task.

That's it basically!

If you want, you can add an exit task that turns wifi off and turns mobile data on if you leave your home.

I don't understand why you would make it more complicated than that...
