wifi won't stay off

Hello everyone. I have a question that i hope someone can answer. I have a droid incredible and I do not use my wifi settings but every now and then something on my phone turns on my wifi. I also believe something actually transmitted or received information via wifi at one point (my wifi usage said 9 -14%). I always check to make sure its off but when the phone is sleeping (screen is off) something turns it on. Can anyone tell me what's going on? Thanks :D:D

When you are in "Wifi Settings" hit the Menu button. It *should* come up with "advanced" Try tinkering in there for settings that say "never sleep" or "always on" or something... Sorry, just a shot in the dark as I have an Eris so it may not be 100 percent

'Nother shot in the dark, but are you using any apps like Setting Profiles, Locale, Tasker, etc., that might have inadvertently been set up to turn your wi-fi on?

Thanks for the response.

When i am in my wifi options I cannot use the menu buttons to get more options. But i am starting to think it could be one or my apps controlling my wifi somehow. I will figure it out. Thanks guys

But if you come up with any more leads I would surely appreciate it.
