wifi wont turn on

i have an e-matic android tablet and when i try to turn on the wifi it just says turning on wifi and does nothing. i have wifi at home and at work and it works at neither place.

Hello, thanks for your question. ematic i don't know very much about that device as a whole. so i will give you some generic advice that tends to work for most.
1.Checking the wifi passcode (try it without one and with one)
2. Restarting, I feel I may be being silly but have you shut it off for a long period of time then tried to connect to the wifi?
3. Factory Reset, This may be a tad bit drastic but it works quite a bit it just clears out and refreshes.

check Ematics website ,locate your device and see if there are any issues reported by manufacturer regarding wifi connectivity. And also if there are any device updates. If there are updates,follow ematics instructions to install. If its a reported issue,an update may resolve it. Also go into settings,WiFi,advanced WiFi and try different band settings.
