Help Wifi worked before but now refuses to function. Other devices connect without issue.

Until a day or two ago, my android (Galaxy J3) connected to the wifi at my home without any issues whatsoever. I downloaded a game, which I've since deleted when my wifi problem started, but now my phone refuses to connect and stay connected to the internet. Every time I attempt to reconnect I'll have connection for 1-2 seconds until it disconnects. Under the signal name it will say "Internet not available" and continue to disconnect me every time I attempt to reconnect. Any other wifi signal I have no issue connecting to on my phone and I have other devices connected to same wifi source which my phone is having issues with.

I've since deleted the game, which I've had previously at a different primary wifi source with no problems, no fix. I've tried turning the wifi off and on, no fix. Turning my phone off then back on, no fix. I've taken the battery out for about 15 minutes and put back in, no fix. Airplane mode is off and I'm not using data.

Note: I live in an RV park and so don't have the luxury of turning off the router for a short while to reset the signal. My signal strength is not the greatest with my camper's distance from the source, but even after moving closer I'm still unable to connect.

But I can't reset the router, I physically do not have access to it.

Could be still the router acting funky, there's sometimes it can't allocate a device an IP address or something. So you might need to speak to the party who's in charge of it, get them to reboot it. I had to do it in a hostel in Hong Kong once, my phone wouldn't connect, but computer would. Once the floor area router was rebooted, it was all OK. I wasn't the only one who had difficulty with it.

WiFi routers in public places can sometimes be very busy, many devices, connecting, disconnecting, and coming and going, places like parks, malls, airports, hotels, bars, etc. And I'm sure sometimes they have difficulty in keeping track of allocated IP addresses from their probably limited DHCP pools.

We've had a similarly mysterious instance of connectivity once. We were rearranging the data center and swapped a port on one of the servers at the switch. All of a sudden there was (as expected) a lot of activity on that port when it was rather light duty before and the switch interpreted it as a DOS attack and disabled the port.

The router you're connected to could have detected a similar false positive from high use from the game you have since removed and either blocked or throttled your phone based on the MAC address. The easiest test would be to take it to some other wifi source like a library or coffee shop and see if it can hold the connection. If it does, then it's most likely the router in your trailer park.

From your wifi settings select the router that's giving you problems. Then select the forget option and log in again. Let us know what happens...
