WiFi working fine BUT........

My WiFi is working fine, a strong cpnnection to my home network, I work from home so I am home network 90% of time, but I noticed it is still scanning and showing neighbors networks... every 5 seconds... this has got to be a battery drain... is there a way to leave WiFi on but stop the scanning ???

2nd question if I dont use WiFi to go on internet.... I use home desktop for that.... what other advanage are there to leaving WiFi on???

Mine keeps scanning also and if I turn it off, for some reason it turns itself back on. To answer the second question if your not using the phone for surfing the net,there is no reason to have the WiFi.

I get better battery life by staying connected to my wifi network at home verses being on 4G all the time. Even if the phone is just sitting around idle all day.
