If you haven't heard of it, it scans the network your phone is connected to and gives you the ability to kick off any andall users from the network. I've tried it, and it does work. Today while walking by an Apple Store, I decided to connect and see what showed up.

It worked perfectly! Haha and ha!

Hijacking everybody's WiFi access at an Apple store and living to tell about it?
Naaah, sounds unlikely.

Post the .apk...

I seriously doubt anyone who is browsing an Apple store that suddenly lost wifi connectivity would be sharp enough to realize that they're having wifi problems because of that odd guy outside the store that's laughing his ass off. They probably would be massively confused because Apple products should never fail, ever.

So, if this app can do this, it would be massively entertaining to do, as long as it was done in humor and not done to purposely deny someone their internet service. There is that fine line between joke and cruelty that shouldn't be crossed.

Not to mention illegal.

Not to mention illegal.

if that's illegal, then the dev's other app called faceniff would get someone the death penalty. do a search and read about it. I found it by accident while reading about wifikill. His other app is quite scary. I don't think I will use a public wifi ever again.

It doesn't look any different than Firesheep. Same functionality, different platform. People should have no expectation of privacy on an open network. You are out in public screaming your information at the world.

Yeah, it's like sending a postcard: everybody who takes the trouble to look can read it. It's basically out in the open. The same as email. If you don't want that you will need to encrypt your messages/traffic.
