Wiimote Android

Nintendo Wiimote, is that supposed to work with an Android device? Do certain games support it or something? Last time I saw one of them it was attached to a Wii.
I'm not familiar with this at all, I know a Wiimote is Bluetooth. So do you just pair it and it's supposed to work straight away, do you have to install a supporting app, or do you have to root the phone and mod it or something?
Are you able to pair the Wiimote with the phone at all? Like you would with a BT headset or something.

You got 5.x on a Xiaomi phone? Wasn't the Wii itself discontinued about 2-3 years ago, so it's now unsupported and will probably never be fixed for recent Android versions.
