wildfire - facebook _ sync issue

hi zekure here ... i am a proud owner of htc wildfire but for the last couple days i have been at my witts end with the facbook syncing problem.

i go to account & sync, add new acc, facebook, when i enter my name and password i get a *the service is currently unavailable. do you want to try again?*

so today i factory reset my phone, and its still giving the same issue, just now i am starting from scratch. can anyone please help me solve this, ive tried everythin, and the most irritating thing is if i enter a frnds details the phone accepts them and syncs her account. den y not mine?

plz help

ive tried the htc forums but they are not really helping .... would apprecaite any input..?

plus is any one else having this problem .. or is it just me o_O
 
Hello zekure. I'm sure sorry you are having problems. I think you might start looking at your FB settings at FB. Log onto your account from a PC and go into your settings and make certain your account is set up so that you can log in from your phone. If the problem isn't there.. It's beyond my assistance. Have you looked into your phone's area of discussion here at AF. Perhaps another user of your phone has had a similar problem with a fix. Here is a link to the area for your phone:

Try this: Uninstall/Reinstall the FB for android app. Log into your FB account using a PC. Change your FB password. This should fix the problem. :)
 
guys ... the problem is i can log into facebook just fine but the facebook for htc sense is messed up is not syncin :S
 
If a password change or a fresh installment of the application didn't fix the issue, then I'm fresh out of suggestions. Sorry! I hope you will eventually find a solution for this problem.
