Will a T-Mobile S6 be able to be used on Metro?

What would the process be for using a T-Mobile S6 on the MetroPCS network? Obviously switching carriers is a must, but can the phone itself be ported?

Yes the T-Mo and Metro versions are essentially identical. You'd probably just need a Metro SIM and a call to Metro to register the device. The ESN would have to be clear from T-Mo so it can't have an active service plan attached to it or any unpaid charges. Metro will treat it as a BYOD.

I called Metro two days ago and they said yes!

When it comes to ESN/IMEI when you first verify if it is clear, what are the chances of it being uncleared in the future? it is usually my concern.

It should still get updates as a tmo phone. Whatever software T-Mobile pushes out for it, the phone should get.

Well I think he's asking the other way around, if Metro pushes an update, prl, etc, will the T-Mobile phone that was ported over get it?
