will apps auto update?

if a newer version of an app you have installed gets released will the G1 auto update your apps or at least let you know there is an update for the apps?

This maybe an unknown with how new the phone is but I would hope there is at least a notification.

I'm sure there will be some kind of notification either straight to your device or when you open the marketplace. We have to realize also that the market is still "technically" in beta. So, I'm sure there will be revisions to make things better and easier.
