Will canceling my contract give my phone a bad ESN?

as the title states, im about to cancel my verizon contract and want to know if it will give my droid a bad esn, because after canceling i would want to sell the phone, since i wont have any use for it. thanks!

If you don't pay your etf then the answer is yes. It will give you a bad esn.
