Will factory-reset delete custom downloaded app's folders?

I need to know something. For example an app like Telegram that is a custom downloaded app uses two ways of keeping the data,

1. in the cache folder and since it is stored in /data
it will be removed by factory reset right?

2. internal storage>Telegram>Telegram Images/audio/... this folder is not in /data but is in internal storage.
will this folders be deleted by factory reset too?

btw I'm using an Samsung Tablet, if it makes any difference.
 
If you do a Factory DATA Reset,

the phone will be as new as a newborn babe...

nothing will survive that.
you will have to register it again with Google and you will have to import all of your backed up apps, contacts, messages, and photos if you have them on the phone's internal memory ( a wrong thing to do, if an extSDcard is available ). You should have your photos backed up to the cloud if no SD card is avaiable, and IF you don't now, then sync it to Google Drive now....

then do the FDR after you have protected yourself.

I will NOT ever purchase a phone that does not have SD card sockets, just for that reason.
All of my apps default to the SDcard to store pix, memos, etc...

but every definition of Factory-reset says that it will just delete app data and cache folder in /android/data but this folder that I mentioned is not in /android/data it's just in internal storage and contains the media from Telegram. I'm not sure it's a part of app data. And when I manually uninstall Telegram the folder is not deleted. so are you sure that by factory reset both the cache and the other folders related to that app and are not in /data will be deleted?
and what if the tablet is rooted?
 
I know nothing about root, I just know that every time, I have performed a FDR,
the phone comes up new as a newborn babe, and everything has to be redone.

all apps have to be installed, all personal passwords done over again, everything...
My only saving grace when doing FDR is having all of my backups on the SD card.

that way, I can do the Restore functions again, once I have reinstalled SuperBackup app

that has to be done first, and I will do it before I put the SIM back in the phone.
if the SIM is in the phone, the carrier tries to take over and rebuild your phone for you...

I much prefer to build the phone back like it was, then insert the SIM, then redo the little changes that the carrier muddles up for you.

There is an advantage to having your phone rooted, you can make Image Backups of it.
that way, if it goes to hell in a hand basket, you just restore the image in a few minutes, and the phone is exactly like it was as of the time it was Imaged to a backup file.

Thank you so much for your help.
So when you factory reset your phone the app folders(Telegram/Viber/and so on) that are in internal storage (not in android/data) and contain the media from the apps are deleted? have you ever checked that? the folder can stay there and when you reinstall the app you won't ever notice that the folder wasn't deleted.
 
IF,

the folders you are speaking of, ARE NOT native to the phone as released in the ROM that came with it, they will be deleted.
