Will G1 work in Mexico?

My wife and I are thinking about going to Mexico in April, Rivera Maya to be exact, and was wondering not only if my phone will work but if I will be charge huge roaming fee's. Does anyone have any idea?

yes it will be working, in mexico you will be roaming on TELCEL towers and they have GSM and 3G service as well EDGE data service. About the price, T-Mobile will charge you i think like a dollar a min something like that, you can also call customer service and ask about the roaming rates while roamin in mexico
