Will Google use Wave's contextual spell checker in Android?

Anyone who watched the 1hr 20 min long Wave Demo like I did was probably super excited about the possibilities that come with this new Google tool. I was especially impressed with the contextual spell checker (they call it natural language processing) built into it.

If/when they incorporate this into Android it will be incredible.

Don't think they will do that. The contextual text check relies on a huge databases of written language. Google wave does post-requests for every keystroke you type that don't take up a lot of bandwith (your phone has enough bandwith probably) but it does depend on multipe requests and with a mobile phone connection the latency wouldn't make it as incredible as you might think. It could however do it once before sending. Suggesting something better :)
