Will Google Voice ever get MMS?

I was wondering if anyone has heard of google voice MMS in the works or is it looking like its just not likely? MMS is the only thing holding me back from fully switching to my GV number and tossing away stupid verizon one.

Uh, google voice already has MMS. It is even free, not even charging you the text message rates since they are sent as data, not a text. (ie: not over the cell network)

As far as I know Google Voice still does not support MMS.
