will my experia e misbehave without a file manager

I need more space on experia e cause ad keeps unmounting.do I need the filemanager and CD I'. App that came with the phone.its bad enough I have to have three quarters of my phone filled with apps I don't use or want.any suggestions besides rooting.?

Uninstall updates, delete data and disable the apps you don't need. Probably won't release too much space, though ..

Given that many phones don't come with a file manager, removing it shouldn't be an issue.
