Will my phone work abroad?

Hi, I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace mobile, would it work in portugal if I am currently on O2 network?
 
Hi and welcome.

If it is a GSM phone, and is quad-band (not sure which band Portugal uses) it will work.

If it is locked to the carrier, you will have to get them to unlock it, but if you tell them why, it shouldn't be a problem.
