Will sporadic charging harm battery?

I generally plug in my Galaxy Tab 4 whenever. Sporadically. For instance I might fully charge it,then use it until it's down 70 percent, then plug it in again, then unplug it before it reaches 100 percent charge, then use it for a while before sporadically plugging it back in. Is this harmful to my battery? Because if it is, I want to stop doing it.

Na, Modern LithIon batteries have a lifetime of "cycles", but a cycle is defined as 0-100. So if you charged 50-100 it's a half cycle. You're not doing anything wrong to your battery, and you'll probably end up replacing the tablet before the battery because unusable due to battery degradation.
