Will the 7.7 LTE ever get international upgrade?

I'm thinking of buying this and would like to take it with me when traveling internationally - I understand the 4 G LTE phones are all GSM anyway and Verizon will update the software so they can be used overseas - soonish? - I wanted to confirm that this will apply to this Galaxy Tab too?

I second this question. I'd like to bring a Nexus 7 to Germany as Christmas gift for my dad. It is about $90 cheaper here than there, but would of course be fundamentally flawed if it can't be used with their network.

Anybody knows??
