Will the Amazon Appstore be replaced with the Amazon Underground?

On Amazon official web site, it seems that we will never find the APK downloading for Amazon Appstore.

Visit Amazon.com on your web browser, click the list box in left corner - Shop by Department, select 'Appstore for Android' and then click 'Amazon Apps'.

Now the 'Amazon Appstore' disappeared in this app list. So I wonder whether the Amazon Appstore will be replaced with the Amazon Underground for ever.

What do you think about this issue?

It wasn't replaced. I have the Appstore and Underground apps on my HTC One M8. So if you already have it you won't lose it. But if you're new to Amazon there's just the Underground. What Undergound replaced is the Amazon Shopping app

Undergound is a whopping 400+ MB app !!! ...

According to a customer service staff of Amazon I have contacted with, the Amazon Underground app is an update version of the Amazon Appstore app for Android. So, I think the Amazon Underground app perhaps has nothing to do with the Amazon Shopping app.

I stand corrected. Senility is grand...

Personally, not a fan of the chance to Underground.
Missing the FAOTD and the associated bundles. Yeah, sure, the Underground apps are free, but also have more permissions. These can also be withdrawn if the developers fail to offer the incentives to Amazon.
The new app is slower on my tablets and frequently stops.
Search and grouping is also lacking.

Why try to fix something that isn't broke. But looks like its here to stay.

I just plain don't trust Amazon, I have disabled all of their products.
Out here where the grass is greener, and the wind blows over the plains, I just don't need that stuff.
