Will the HTC Dream have a retail offer?

Hi, I live in Canada and is going to Uni with Co-Op in the Fall, and is in need of a phone that is touchscreen and OPEN (in case if i move for my co-op placement)

and I wonder, will there be an HTC dream that is open with quad band GSM alone with the 3G stuff?
