Will the Nexus 5 be better than the HTC One?

I know it will have Kitkat right away, but will the HTC one be getting it in the near future? I'm worried I sell my One and then kitkat comes out for the One right after.

Until we get some solid specs on the device its hard to say whether it will be better than the HTC One and even then it will probably be a matter of opinion. I personally think that the HTC One is the best Android smartphone out there, if for no other reason than its build quality and front facing speakers (which sound fantastic, btw). The only reasons I didn't get one myself was the lack of a Snapdragon 800 and its size. I bought a Note 3 because I wanted a much larger and powerful device. Had the HTC One (or even One Max) met those two requirements I'd have one of those.

It cant be better because N5 does not have dual front speakers. I use Skype on my HTC One and its a joy with those speakers.

Kitkat is all you get . Dam what about memory htc wins 64gb and nexus has 32 but really 30gb

Depends where you are whether the 64GB One is available.

And "32 GB" is always 30 in reality. The storage manufacturers quote capacity in decimal units (1 GB = 10^9 bytes), but computers use binary (1 GB = 2^30 bytes). The decimal unit is 7% smaller than the binary, so 32 is really 30. If you have a display that shows otherwise, I'll guarantee it's using decimal units.

I'm not regretting my One - it's got some features the N5 doesn't have, and I've had 4 months' use rather than hanging on. But the N5 is cheaper and more powerful. Depends what you want.

I think that Nexus 5 has the potential to be better than the HTC One. It will be difficult to beat the dual speakers, though (and 64 gigs is awesome).
