Will they give me a new phone?

I just got my phone about 3 weeks ago and didn't choose to buy a protection thingy.

They can't even tell it's rooted but will they give me a refund if I just play dumb?

They may give you a new phone, but once they send in the rooted one, they'll check software and discover it's rooted, then be charged full price of the device...plus the fact that if you have any sort of dignity you'll feel like garbage.
