Accessories Will this car charger work w/Note 4?

I just bought a Note 4 and am wondering if my old Blackberry car charger (cigarette lighter) will work with it. The charger is a MODEL: CLMO D-050
INPUT: 12V=500mA
OUTPUT: DC 5V=500mA
I read on another post that Blackberry chargers will work with Samsung phones, including the Note 4. Just want to be sure so as not to damage the phone.

At half an ampere I'd hazard a guess and say that it is most unlikely the charger will damage the phone; the usual main supply chargers are rated at least 2A. However, at half an amp I doubt that it will actually charge the phone unless it has been switched off; even then, it will take 4x longer than a 2A charger.
