Will updates screw up your phone if your rooted?

If I am rooted and have the unofficial cwm for the razr ([Recovery/Bootstrap]Razr Bootstrap Recovery - xda-developers) on my phone, and I get the ics update, will it screw something up? Or maybe there's a way to uninstall cwm? cuz I can go back to stock from getting just rooted. I haven't installed cwm, should I wait or can I still get the update with the unofficial cwm installed?

Having CWM will screw nothing when receiving updates.

Do not count on receiving ICS any time soon.

I agree with Szadzik - you've got plenty of time to mess around with root before an ICS OTA comes our way.
